SEGAMAT MUNICIPAL COUNCIL MOBILE COUNTER SERVICES

Introduction

Segamat Municipal Council (MPS) is committed to enhancing the quality of public service delivery through the implementation of the Jelajah Prihatin Programme – Segamat Municipal Council Mobile Counter Services.

This initiative aims to provide greater convenience and accessibility to the public, particularly market traders and local residents, by offering essential municipal services and payment facilities without the need to visit the MPS office.

Services Provided

The Mobile Counter offers a range of municipal services, including:

  1. Business licence payments.
  2. Market rental payments.
  3. Assessment tax payments.
  4. Compound fine payments.
  5. Public enquiries, consultations and complaint services.

To ensure faster, more convenient and efficient payment transactions, MPS also provides cashless payment facilities through QR codes. This initiative helps streamline transactions, improve payment record accuracy and minimise the risk of human errors associated with cash handling.

Programme Implementation

The Mobile Counter Programme is carried out as part of MPS's community outreach initiatives, involving several departments:

  • Licensing Department
  • Finance Department
  • Valuation and Property Management Department
  • Enforcement Department

This approach enables MPS to engage directly with the community, identify local needs, address public concerns and respond to complaints more effectively.

The implementation of this programme reflects Segamat Municipal Council's continuous commitment to delivering accessible, efficient, responsive and community-friendly municipal services for the well-being of the local community.

Information regarding the dates, times and locations of Mobile Counter services will be announced periodically through the official communication channels of Segamat Municipal Council.
